Event Details

Date: Tuesday 17th March 2020. Time: 18:00-19:30. Venue: FCO, King Charles Street

Jonathan Aitkens had one of the most high profile and colourful careers in British public life, serving as Minister of State for Defence and Chief Secretary to the Treasury. His illustrious 23-year political career came to an abrupt end after admitting to perjury in a libel case and being sentenced to 18-months in prison. It was at this point, while serving his sentence in Belmarsh prison, that he decided to explore in earnest what Christianity is all about. Join us for a drinks reception and talk from Reverend Aitken on his journey through public, prison and chaplaincy life. This is an especially great opportunity for those that are new to Christianity or wanting to explore more.
