Prayer
Prayer is really important for the Christian and for us as a network. We have a conviction that our leaders, whoever they may be, need our prayers and that, as the Bible puts it, "righteousness exalts a nation". We therefore pray regularly for the Prime Minister, Government Ministers and the individual Departments as well as for the Christian networks. We also bring before God the needs of colleagues and friends, on the basis that everyone matters to God and that He wants to have a personal relationship with each one of us.
We believe that God is calling us specifically at this time to pray, and to lead prayer, for government, parliament and the nation. There is a sense of urgency; we need to intercede for our Nation which has turned away from God in so many ways.

Monday Morning Prayer Walks
We conduct weekly morning prayer walks in the Westminster area to pray for government, parliament and the Nation.
First Friday of the Month Prayer and Praise Meeting and 24-hour Prayer Rota
On the first Friday of each month, we meet from 12.45 to 1.30 pm in Methodist Central Hall side chapel to praise and worship God, and to pray for our government and nation. We also run a 24 hour prayer vigil, from midday the following Saturday, where you can sign up for one hour of prayer. CIG members and Christian supporters are welcome to join us.
Weeks of Prayer
Periodically we hold weeks of prayer with partner organisations Prayer 24-7, Christians in Parliament and others, to pray for government, parliament and this Nation.
Worship
We believe we have a responsibility to worship God in the heart of government, and to promote worship within our relating fellowships and networks. Some of our activities are described below.
Calling all musicians! Through the year there are a number of events for which we put together a CIG worship band. At present, we are in touch with a small number of musicians but need more! So if you have a heart for worship, play an instrument or sing and might be available to support CIG and other events please e-mail worship@christiansingovernment.org.uk. Some of the venues we use are able to lend instruments so you would not necessarily need to bring your own (helpful for drummers!). Depending on availability we may arrange practice times. Do get in touch if you may be able to help!
If you would like to find out more about any aspect of worship in CIG, e-mail worship@christiansingovernment.org.uk.
Worship Group
We have a group of singers and musicians who meet and serve at CIG events. We are always looking for more to join us - especially guitarists! If you would like to be involved, please contact us at the address above.
First Friday of the Month Prayer and Praise Meeting
